In 2013, "The Hall of Awa Japanese Handmade Paper" museum will celebrate its 25th Anniversary*. To commemorate this event, we will hold the Awagami International Miniature Print Exhibition ( 'AIMPE') 2013; an exhibition of mini print works executed on washi PAPER This exhibition shall be a global collaboration between the Japanese culture of washi with its 1,400 years of history and the artistic culture of printmaking. By holding this exhibition in Awa Tokushima, a place said to be the home of washi, we hope to encourage the promotion and advancement of both regional and washi paper culture. The 'AIMPE' exhibition is open to all international artists; professional and amateur alike. We look forward to attracting a diverse group of talented printmaking artists from Japan and around the world.
